Best Western Plus Portsmouth-Chesapeake Hotel, Chesapeake

At first glance, the rooms seemed just fine, but after finding blood on the sheets, my opinion quickly changed. Among the three different rooms, it was very quiet with good soundproofing. We believe there were bed bugs as we found a cup of black residue. After one night, we decided to leave because it was not how I planned to spend four nights there.

My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were extremely clean and decently appointed, but overpriced for the quality provided. The service was amazing at attending to our needs, but it felt like a hassle having to repeatedly visit the front desk. The location, although near Cheesapeake, VA and on I-64, was not the best choice for families due to a 30-minute drive from the beach. The dining experience had decent offerings but some items were not up to par. The facilities were quite satisfactory overall.
